The Valentino logo appears repetitively on the fabric’s interior. Total length is fifty-eight inches; three and seven-eighths inches at widest point. 100% silk. Hand made in Italy.

Valentino was born Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, in 1932. His career took off in 1962 after a show in Florence, Italy, and he quickly became known as one of the top – many would say the top – Italian designers of the that decade. He continued to work, staying on the A-list decade after decade, until he retired in 2008. Valentino played himself in The Devil Wears Prada (2006), and a documentary called Valentino: The Last Emperor was released in 2008, and was said to be the highest-grossing documentary of 2009 (indiewire). www.valentino.com
