Dolce & Gabbana High-Heel Sandals (Size 7.5)
$265.00
Description
These beautifully-designed shoes by Dolce & Gabbana cut a very sexy silhouette. Texturally, they combine rich dark brown leather, deep brown wood-grain, a mix of leather and rope-like toe straps, and long, thin leather laces – each lace is 70 inches (some call this “Gladiator” style) – that wrap around the leg. Three straps criss-cross the toes. The insoles and interior of the heel straps are golden to add to the richness of the look. The heels are 3.5″. The “Dolce & Gabbana”-engraved name plate is attached to each sole. “Vero Cuoio” (Real Leather) is also marked on each sole. Made in Italy.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had their first show as Dolce and Gabbana in 1985. Prior to that time, they worked for Milan designer Giorgio Correggiari, each sending separate invoices for payment. A bookkeeper suggested they simplify things by combining their bills under the name Dolce and Gabbana. Dolce’s background was in clothing – his father was a tailor and his mother sold fabrics – and Gabbana studied graphic design. This combination of talents would later inspire The New Yorker to say that “Gabbana is the eyes for Dolce’s hands.” As their brand grew, Madonna became a pal, wearing their crystal-embellished corset at her Truth or Dare premier (1991), wearing one of their sweaters on the cover of Vogue (1992), then wearing their designs on her Girlie Show tour (1993). Today, the list of celebrities wearing Dolce & Gabbana is virtually endless, including Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, Scarlett Johansson, Felicity Jones, Sienna Miller, Penélope Cruz, Emma Stone, Katy Perry, J.Lo, Monica Bellucci, Fergie, and Chloë Sevigny, all wearing the label in their most high-profile Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe moments. In July 2014, Elle Magazine wrote, “The A-list loves Dolce & Gabbana.” The D&G line was ended – or “folded into” the main Dolce & Gabbana line, as the designers put it- in 2012. www.dolcegabbana.com
