Description

Vintage sleeveless, V-neck dress by Neiman Marcus. Nappy material has diagonal black and off-white stripes that make for an over-all grey color. Fastens in the back with a hook and 21″ zipper. Can be worn with or without a belt (see photo of model wearing this dress with a belt). Unlined, which makes it lighter. All tags – except for the Neiman Marcus label – have been removed, so please check these measurements (laid flat):

Top to bottom: 41.5″
Pit to pit: 18″
Waist: approx. 16″
Hips: approx. 19″

Seven years after it opened, a fire wiped out everything – the building and the stock. They rebuilt and thrived. Eventually, the editor of Vogue Magazine would call Neiman Marcus “the perfect store for women” and its name would be synonymous with wealth and luxury (the store expanded far beyond clothing, offering such delights as His and Hers Mini Submarines and $1 million jewel-encrusted tigers).
