Beautiful silk blazer by Oscar de la Renta. The creamy ivory fabric has a herringbone pattern. Two-button front, with four buttons on each sleeve end. There are three front pockets: one on each side at the bottom (each with a flap), and one on the left chest. There are also three interior pockets: one on each side at the chest (each with a buttoning flap), and one smaller to the lower left. There is a 10″ center vent in the rear. Fully lined. 100% silk. Made in China.

One of the most celebrated and awarded designers of all time, he was born Óscar Arístides Ortiz de la Renta Fiallo in 1932, in the Dominican Republic. From a prominent family, he traveled to study art and fashion in Spain. There, he had the great good fortune to work  for Balenciaga, who became his mentor. He left Spain for Paris to work for Lanvin (1960), then left Paris for New York City to work for Elizabeth Arden (1963). He launched his own label in 1967, and had immediate success. In 1993, he went back to Paris to design for Balmain. In 1970, he added menswear to his label.
