Unique sleeveless dress by Proenza Schouler for Target in lilac purple. Distinctive mod pattern of alternating figures of silvery white and lilac purple, with lilac purple trim and stitching. The back fastens with a hook and an 18″ zipper. The shell is 100% silk, the combo and lining is 100% polyester. Fully lined. Made in China.

Proenza Schouler isn’t a real person. When two young designers – Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez – started a label together in their loft in New York City’s Chinatown (2002), they bestowed their mothers’ maiden names on their new venture. The label did quite well, The New York Times proclaiming them “the next generation of American talent.” Prior to their big splash, Jack and Laz were students at Parsons, and interned for Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, respectively. Proenza Schouler went wild, winning big awards, gaining fans like Carine Roitfeld, and Barney’s bought up their entire first show.
