Beautiful vintage tie by Claude Montana. A brown floral pattern is set over a yellow-green background, with vertical lines running the length of the tie. The Montana name is repetitively printed on the interior of the fabric. 54″ long; 3.5″ at widest point. 100% silk. Made in Italy.

Claude Montana (1949-) started designing jewelry when he ran out of money during a trip to London. He launched his career in the mid-to-late 1970s, and was a very big designer during the 80s. He designed two award-winning (if financially disastrous) couture lines for Lanvin in the early 90s, but his own label went bankrupt in 1997.
